Floatamatics are a series of robots with floating heads that contain human souls.

Reincarnated eons after a mass wipe of humanities population as punishment for their archaic acts on the planet.

As it had been decided by the being who had caused this extinction that humanity took the easy way out, that this was far too much mercy to be put on them. Instead, their souls are brought back to suffer once more with their mortality abiding within the very machines they created in order to cause destruction with.

Even more so, to forever be haunted by their former lives, to go insane trying to understand what kind of people they stood as before. Their prior memories only able to be accessed through unethical means. To reattach the few remaining organics of humans before decomposition for a mere hint of their past.

Since then, these robots have been developing factions based around their impact before they had disappeared, attempting to reconnect with their former lives through environmental means. As a result, wavering tension remains as wars proceeded once more. A fight for land, and now, a fight for how the entire world should be reformed.

As of now, there exists a stalemate. Tension held between the leaders of these factions and some citizens alike remain.

However, wars have been called off, and now this is the closest to normalcy everyone has ever felt before the purge.
